Terminator: Survivors Delayed to 2025 to Ensure Quality

Terminator: Survivors, the highly anticipated title from NACON and NACON Studio Milan, has been delayed, with its early access release on PC (Steam) now rescheduled for 2025. Originally set for an October 24, 2024 launch, the developers announced that more time is needed to deliver a post-apocalyptic experience that aligns with the high standards of the iconic Terminator franchise.

A Tough Decision for Quality Assurance

Marco Ponte, CEO and Creative Director of NACON Studio Milan, addressed the delay in a recent statement, acknowledging that the decision to push back the release was challenging. However, Ponte emphasised that the extra development time is crucial to ensure the game meets both the studio’s vision and the expectations of fans. “We believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator™ meets the expected level of quality,” Ponte said.

Commitment to the Franchise and Its Fans

The delay reflects the studio’s commitment to delivering a game that not only pays homage to the Terminator franchise but also provides a robust and immersive experience for players. NACON Studio Milan expressed gratitude to the community for their continued support and excitement, with Ponte concluding, “We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you.”

While the delay may disappoint some, it ultimately aims to ensure that Terminator: Survivors lives up to its potential and delivers an experience worthy of the beloved franchise. Fans can look forward to more updates from the developers as they continue to refine and expand the game.
