Parcel Corps, the delivery-themed game from developer Billy Goat Entertainment and publisher Secret Mode, is out TODAY. The release date was officially announced during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, alongside a new trailer that gave fans a glimpse of the quirky world and characters they’ll encounter.
What is Parcel Corps?
Parcel Corps is a game where players take on the role of a bicycle courier in the bustling city of New Island. Players will join one of three rival courier companies, each vying to become the top delivery service in town. The game promises a mix of fast-paced action and satirical humour, as players navigate the city, delivering everything from food to important documents, all while dodging traffic and outmanoeuvring their competitors.
The game’s setting, New Island, is filled with colourful characters and unique environments. From elderly ladies dressed in giant teapots to quirky fishmongers, the game’s world is as vibrant as it is chaotic. Players will need to use their biking skills to complete delivery missions and compete in the high-stakes Delivery Rush mode, where only the fastest and most daring couriers will come out on top.
A Satirical Take on Modern Work Life
Parcel Corps doesn’t just offer a fun gameplay experience; it also weaves in sharp social commentary. The game explores the challenges faced by gig economy workers, with a focus on the pressures and unpredictability of life as a bicycle courier. The game’s antagonist, Rich Villainé, CEO of Polar Petroleum PLC, adds a layer of conflict, as his ambitions threaten the livelihoods of the hardworking couriers of New Island.
As players progress, they’ll not only aim to become the top courier in town but also uncover and thwart Villainé’s plans, making Parcel Corps a game that blends action, humour, and a touch of social awareness.
