The controversial crime management sim makes the jump from PC after selling one million copies
After finding considerable success on PC, the provocative Drug Dealer Simulator is preparing to make its console debut. Ultimate Games S.A. has announced that Xbox owners will be able to start building their illicit empires from 16th April 2025, whilst PlayStation 5 players will need to wait a bit longer, with a release planned for later in the year.
From PC Hit to Console Contender
Originally developed by Polish studio Byterunners and published by Movie Games in 2020, Drug Dealer Simulator has proven to be something of a sleeper hit on PC. With approximately one million copies sold and an impressive 87% positive rating from nearly 18,000 Steam reviews, the game has clearly found its audience despite its contentious subject matter.
Building Your Criminal Empire
As the rather straightforward title suggests, Drug Dealer Simulator puts players in the role of an aspiring criminal looking to climb the ranks of the drug trade. The first-person simulation focuses on both the business and operational aspects of running an illegal enterprise, from maintaining supplier relationships and avoiding police attention to developing custom product recipes and expanding territory.
Players will need to manage hideouts, secure deliveries, forge connections within the criminal underworld, and gradually expand their influence across the game’s urban environment.
The console version appears to retain all the core features of the PC original, including territory control, recipe creation, and the ongoing challenge of evading law enforcement whilst growing your criminal network.
Drug Dealer Simulator launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on 16th April 2025, with a PlayStation 5 version to follow later in the year.
